| BroadVision profit down in Q4, up for year
BroadVision Inc. reported a drop in profit in the fourth quarter, compared with last year. But its profit for 2007 rose. The Redwood City software company (OTCBB: BVSN) earned a profit of $5.9 million in the fourth quarter, down from a profit of $7 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. Sales fell to $11.2 million in the fourth quarter, down from sales of $13 million a year ago in the fourth quarter. In 2007, BroadVision made a profit of $17.3 million on sales of $50 million, compared with a profit of $15 million on sales of $52 million in 2006. Pehong Chen is BroadVision's president and CEO. .

The Wabash County Retail Merchants Committee (RMC) outlined plans for its upcoming fundraiser basketball games during Tuesday morning's regular monthly meeting at Hogg Heaven in Mt. Carmel.The event will consist of two games - one between the "Guns" (law enforcement) and the "Hoses" (firefighters), and one between the "Books" (District 348 educators) and the "Band-Aids" (medical personnel).There will also be a third game this year, according to Event Coordinator Rod Rodriguez."We're going to call it a tournament this year because we're going to have a third game," said Rodriguez. "We're going to bracket Guns and Hoses - Books and Band-Aids, and whoever wins those ball games will play for City Champion and have bragging rights for a year."

A rush to rent rich in the Hamptons
If you think it's too early to book your summer vacation in the Hamptons, think again. The first buds of spring may be weeks away, but in the Hamptons, real estate agents say, the rental season is already going full throttle.
The season traditionally begins during Presidents' Week, says Judi Desiderio, president and chief executive of Town & Country Real Estate, whose main office is in East Hampton.
"By the end of that week, 50 percent of the summer rentals are gone." This year, the season took off at least a month earlier, she says.
